Best Chocolate Cake Ever

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter OR margarine
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Chocolate Frosting
- Chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
In a small saucepan, bring the butter, water and cocoa to a boil; Whisk the mixture until smooth. Cool the sauce to room temperature. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt; Add the cocoa mixture from the saucepan. Beat the mixture on LOW speed until it is combined. Add the sour cream, eggs and baking soda; Blend the mixture until it is smooth. Pour the mixture into a greased 13” x 9” x 2” baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 - 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan. You can frost the cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkle with nuts. *Refrigerate the cake until it is served.*
