Ingredients

  • 1 cup – onion
  • 1 can – diced stewed tomatoes
  • 1 cup – celery
  • 1 cup -- water
  • 2 -- green peppers
  • 1 tsp. -- salt
  • 2 -- garlic cloves
  • 1/8 tsp. -- pepper
  • ¼ cup – butter
  • 1/8 tsp. – cayenne pepper
  • 2 bay leaves—whole
  • 1 lb – shrimp
  • 3 cups – cooked rice
  • 5 strips of fried bacon

Preparation

Step 1

Sautee’ vegetables first in butter and garlic, add remaining ingredients, and boil for 10 minutes.
Then, put the shrimp in last.
Boil another 6 minutes or until shrimp is pink.
