Ingredients

  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 28oz cans whole tomatoes, drained and coarsely chopped
  • 3 tbs tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 basil leaved coarsely chopped or torn
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1. In large skillet heat the oil over med heat. Add the garlic and cook until golden brown, about 1 min. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano and bay leaf and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 30 minutes. Stir in the basil and season with salt and pepper.
