Festive French Toast

Ingredients

  • 3 c granny smith apples, sliced thin
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 1/2 c dried cranberries
  • 1/2 c raisins
  • 1 loaf cinnamon swirl bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 2/3 c milk
  • 1 T vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1) Toss together the apples, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, cranberries, and raisins. Spread in a greased 9x13 pan.

2) Lay bread on top.

3) Combine eggs, milk, and vanilla and pour over top. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.

4) Bake for 40 min. covered with foil at 375 degrees F and 5 min. uncovered. Top with powdered sugar if desired when cool.
