Ingredients
- Dough:
- 2-3 pkgs fast acting yeast
- Warm water to cover yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2-2 1/4 cups warmed milk
- 2-3 T buter
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 eggs, beaten at room temperature
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 5-6 cups flour
- Filling:
- 1/2 cup cream per kuchen
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1/2-3/4 cup sugar
- pinch salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Place yeast in a cup, cover with warm water to rise. Add sugar, warmed milk, butter, and oil to mixing bowl. Add yeast mixture. Mix salt with flour and gradually add to mixer bowl.
Let dough rise and double in size. Punch down. Let rise and punch down a second time.
Divide in half and roll to fit in 9-inch baking pan. Fill with filling.
Bake 360° until cream is set.
