Chicken a la Orange - Diane

Ingredients

  • 2 whole boneless skinless chicken breasts, halved
  • 2 T. butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • ⅔ cup orange juice
  • ⅓ cup Heinz 57 sauce
  • ¼ cup orange marmalade *toasted slivered almonds (if desired)

Preparation

Step 1

Lightly flatten chicken breasts. In a large skillet, saute chicken in hot butter until tender and juices run clear, 8 to 10 minutes; season with salt and pepper and set aside. In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in orange juice; stir in Heinz 57 sauce and marmalade. Pour into skillet. Heat, stirring constantly until mixture is hot and thickened. Return chicken to skillet; heat through. Spoon sauce over chicken. Garnish with toasted almonds.
