Ingredients

  • You can use cod, haddock, crab, lobster, clams, shrimp, salmon, mussels, mixed seafood and more!
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 3 cups fish or chicken stock
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 each carrot and celery stalk, chopped
  • ½ tsp each savory and thyme
  • ¼ tsp each salt and pepper
  • 1 lb. clams or mixed seafood, cut in chunks
  • 1 cup cream or milk

In heavy saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; cook onion until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in flour; cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add stock, potatoes, carrot, celery, savory, thyme, salt and pepper; cover and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables and tender, about 15 minutes. Add fish; cook for 3 minutes or until opaque. Pour in cream and heat through.
