Ingredients

  • 5 ripe peaches, peeled, and sliced (4 to 5 cups)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • pinch salt

Preparation

Step 1

Combine peaches and 1/4 cup sugar. Toss to coat peaches and set aside. About 10 minutes.

Place 8-8oz. ramekins on cookie sheet. Place 1 Tbls. butter in each ramekin, bake until butter is melted, about 5 minutes.

In another bowl, whisk together remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Add milk slowly, whisking until completely combined.
Divide batter among ramekins. Spoon equal amounts of the peach mixture over batter.

Return to oven, and bake until tops are golden brown, about 1 hour.
