New England Clam Chowder

Ingredients
- 1 51oz can chopped clams
- 3 Tbsps butter
- 6 slices bacon,diced
- 1 large onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 3 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 3 cps milk
- pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Drain clams and reserve liquid.
Sautee bacon in butter until brown. Add onion and garlic and sautee until golden. Sprinkle flour over onion and continue to cook for 1-2 mins., stirring constantly.
Add potatoes and clam juice and simmer 10 mins.
Add clams and simmer 10 more or until potatoes are tender. Add milk and pepper to taste. Heat thoroughly.
Makes 9 cups.
