Bacon Cheese Wreath

For a pretty Yuletide presentation, accent the cream cheese wreath with parsley and pimentos to represent the green of the wreath and the holly berries. I also add a bow (not edible) for a extra touch.

Ingredients

  • 2 8-oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 10 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled (I also use an equivalent amount of packaged real bacon crumbles)
  • Fresh parsley springs and diced pimentos
  • Assorted Crackers

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium sized mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese and onions. Stir in bacon. Cover and refrigerate 1-2 hours.

Invert a small bowl in the center of a serving platter. Drop cream cheese mixture by rounded spoonfuls around edge of bowl. Remove bowl. Smooth cream cheese mixture, forming a wreath. Garnish with parley and pimentos if desired. Serve with crackers.
