Easy Eggnog

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 cups milk, scalded
  • 3 egg whites
  • vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Beat the egg yolks with the 1/2 cup of sugar and salt. Slowly stir in the scalded milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture coats slightly coats the spoon. Cool. Beat egg whites. Add 1/4 cup sugar. Add vanilla and spices to taste. Add to cooled custard and mix. Chill at least 4 hours before serving.
