Ingredients
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1½ tsp. ground ginger
- ¾ tsp. ground nutmeg
- ½ tsp. ground cloves
- ½ tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 egg whites
- 5 cups pecan halves
Preparation
Step 1
In small bowl, combine sugar with spices. In large bowl, whisk egg whites until frothy; stir in pecans until coated. Sprinkle with sugar mixture, tossing with spoon to coat nuts evenly.
Spread on 2 lightly greased baking sheets and bake in a preheated 325 degree oven, rotating sheets half way through, for 30 minutes or until coating is crisp and nuts are fragrant.
Let cool
Store in air tight containers.
