  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 pound confectioner's sugar (about 4 1/2 cups)



Step 1

Heat milk and butter over low heat until butter is melted.

Remove from heat.

Add cocoa, sugar, and vanilla.

Stir well and beat until thick and smooth.

Pour into 8x8 buttered pan.

Refrigerate until firm (about 1/2 hour).

Recipe may be doubled.

Nuts may be added (1 cup).
