Sourdough bread recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 heaping Tbsp sugar
  • 1 level Tbsp salt or just 1/2 tsp
  • 1 c. starter
  • 1 1/2 c warm water
  • 1/2 c. oil (canola)
  • 5-6 c. bread flour
  • (more humidity-more flour)

Preparation

Step 1

form dough into a moist ball. cover with lid of bowl loosely. let set out 10-12 hrs. punch down and divide into 3 loaves (if sticky add a little flour) place in greased loaf pans let rise 10-12 hrs hrs covered with dish towel

bake 20-25 min 325 preheated oven after cooking place dish towel on top and let cool. store in plastic bags
