Sugar Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Mix together dry ingredients
Pour in boiling water
Stir to completely mix the ingredients
Stir in cream and vanilla
Pour into a 9" unbaked pie shell shell
Sprinkle nutmeg over the top
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes and then lower the temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking for 40 minutes longer
The pie is finished when the center is set
