  • 3/4 c of butter
  • 3/4 c light brown sugar
  • 3/4 c dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 c cream (original recipe called for whole milk)
  • 3 c confectioners sugar sifted
  • 1 1/2 pure vanilla extract



Step 1

butter and brown sugar in heavy sauce pan. bring to boil for two minutes. Add cream, stir until boils again. Remove from heat.Add powder sugar and vanilla. Beat mixture with wooden spoon until smooth.. Use immediately (while warm) to frost the cake. If need to soften just place back on the heat then finish frosting cake.
