- cups old fashioned rolled oats
- 2 cups sweetened, shredded coconut
- 2 cups sliced almonds
- 1 cup walnut pieces
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup good honey
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup dried cherries

Step 1
preheat to 300 degrees
toss oats, coconut, and nuts together in a large bowl. whisk together oil and honey in small bowl. pour liquids over the oat mixture and stir with wooden spoon until all the oats and nuts are coated. pour onto a 13 x 18 nch baking sheet. bake, stiring ocassionally with spatula until the mixture turns a nice, even golden brown. about an hour, maybe more. but watch it! don't let it burn!
remove granola from the oven and allow to cool, stiring occasionally. add the dried fruit. store cooled granola in airtight container.
