Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c cake flour
- 2 c sugar
- 2 c Italian custard cream
- 3/4 c vegetable oil
- 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 4 eggs, at room temp
- 1 c whole milk
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F
Put flour, sugar, custard cream if using vegetable oil, baking poweder, vanilla and salt in bowl
Mix slow until ingredients are blended together, few sec then raise speed to low-medium and continue to mix until smooth, 1 min
Add 1 egg at a time
Add milk 1/2 c at a time
Divide batter between two cake pans
Bake until cake begins to pull from sides of pan and is springy to the touch, 25-30minutes\
Remove from oven and let cool for at least 30 min - 60 min
Cakes should be at room temp before you remove from pan.
Put a piece of parchment paper on cookie sheet and top with sugar, turn cakes out onto parchment.
