Breakfast Casserole

A delicious breakfast favorite of my family's, especially on Christmas morning.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage (hot)
  • 8 oz can crescent rolls
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Crumble sausage into skillet and cook over medium heat until brown, stirring occasionally. Drain well. Line the bottom of a 13 x 9 pan with the crescent rolls pressing to seal. Sprinkle the sausage and cheese. Combine the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper and pour over the sausage and cheese. If needed, you can refrigerate overnight and cook in the morning for breakfast. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until set. Let stand five minutes and cut into squares and serve.
