Chili Verde Salad

Ingredients

  • TACO MEAT:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • SALAD:
  • 1 head iceberg lettice, torn
  • 1 avacado peeled, seeded, diced
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 cup black olives, sliced or cut in wedges
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 pound shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • SAUCE:
  • 1 (7-0z) can doiced green chilies
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup dairy sour cream
  • TORTILLA CHIPS

Preparation

Step 1

1. Prepare taco meat filling using ground beef and taco seasoning mix, using instructiion on package.
2. Using individual plates, arrange torn lettice on plates. Top with taco meat, then beans, olives, green onions, and tomatoes. Surround with avacado slices and top with shredded cheese
3. Serve sauce on side or pour over top of salad.
4. Serve with tortilla chips.
