Vegan Black Bean Chili

A delicious, easy meatless chili that can be made in about 30 minutes, tops.

Ingredients

  • • 1 cup black beans
  • • 1/2 medium yellow onion
  • • 2 cloves garlic
  • • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • • 1 tsp chili powder
  • • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • • 2 tbsps olive oil
  • • 2 cups low sodium tomato sauce

Preparation

Step 1

1. Sauté onions and garlic in oil until onions turn clear, about 5 minutes.
2. Carefully add tomato sauce and black beans and reduce the heat to medium-low.
3. Add spices and stir to combine well.
4. Cover and allow to simmer at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
