Christmas Shortbread

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of butter
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 3 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

1.Let the butter soften on the cupboard.
2.Mix in all other ingredients. The dough may be soft and if so just place in the frig for a bit to let it stiffen.
3. Roll out on a floured counter to the desired thickness. They DO NOT rise so judge accordingly.
4.Bake at 325 until golden around the edges.

( I would use a small cookie cutter as these are very very rich . I think the size of a tomato paste can would be good )
