Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • Finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 can vanilla frosting

Step 1

Blend butter or margarine and sugar in a bowl, stir in egg yolk and vanilla. Add flour and salt into bowl, mix well. Chill one hour. Roll into 1 inch balls. Dip into slightly beaten egg white. Fall in nuts. Place 1 inch apart on cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 5 minutes. Press thumb gently in center of each, bake 5 minutes longer. Cool. Fill with frosting. (Add a peanut M&M to make Peanut Sitting Pretties)
