Chewy Brownies Cookies

Ingredients

• 2/3 cup Crisco shortening
• 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon water
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 eggs
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup Hershey's Cocoa
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 cups (12 oz. pkg.) Hershey's Semi-Sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, beat shortening, brown sugar, water and vanilla on medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda. Gradually add to sugar mixture; beating on low speed just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tabelspoons 2 inches apart. Bake 7 to 9 minutes. Cookies will apper soft and moist. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
