Sweet Cheese Delights

Ingredients

• 2 packages 8 ounce cream cheese softened
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 cans 8 ounce crescent dinner rolls
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons butter melted
• 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• Powdered sugar if desired

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer until fluffy. Add egg yolk and vanilla until blended.
Unroll 1 can of dough into a rectangle press seams and perforations to seal. Press into the bottom of a ungreased 13 x 9 baking dish. Spread cream cheese mixture.
In a small bowl mix pecans, brown sugar and butter and cinnamon. Sprinkle half the mixture over the cream cheese layer. On a lightly floured surface roll out remaining dough into 13 x 9 rectangle. Place over filling. Sprinkle with remaining pecan mixture.
Bake at 375 for 20 t0 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cover and refrigerate left overs.
