Rum Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (can substitute rum or brandy to taste)
  • Dash nutmet

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; gradually stir in water. Boil, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until thickened. Add rest of ingredients.
