Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups unsifted flour, divided
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 Tablespoons coffee-flavored liqueur or 1 teaspoon instant coffee dissolved in 1 Tablespoon hot water
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts
- Chocolate Frosting (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F.
In a bowl combine 1 cup flour and sugar in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until crumbly. Press firmly into 13" X 9" prepared pan (cooking spray). Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, cocoa, egg, 1/4 cup flour,liqueur, vanilla and baking powder.Mix well. Stir in nuts. Spread over baked crust.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until center is set. Cool. Frost, if desired.
