Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecans (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 5 tbs light corn syrup
  • 1 1/4 sticks margarine, melted
  • 1 box buttered pecan cake mix
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/3 cup veg oil
  • 3 eggs

Preparation

Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. Mix pecans, brown sugar, syrup and margarine in a bowl. Generously spray pan with cooking spray. Spread mixture evenly in bottom in 9X13 pan. Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Pour batter slowly over mixture in pan. Bake until caike springs bake when touched (about 45 min. - 1 hour). When done immediately inver pan into heatproof tray. Leave pan over cake for about 5 minutes than remove.
