Country Cabin Pancake Syrup

Ingredients

  • 2 (16 oz.) pkgs. dark brown sugar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 4 c. water
  • 3/4 c. corn syrup
  • 1 T. maple extract

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients except extract in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, boil for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly, until sugars are dissolved and mixture is thickened.

Let cool to lukewarm, stir in extract. Place in a covered container, keep refrigerated for up to 4 weeks,

Makes about 7 cups.
