  • 3 quarts water
  • 1/2 cup canning salt
  • 1 cup white vinegar

Step 1

1. Broil bine for 10 minutes. Cool. Add 1/2 teaspoon to brine to keep picles crisp & 1 teaspoon sugar.

2. Layer fresh dill and garlic cloves sliced, then pickles. Continue layering and end with dill on top. Pour brine over pickles to cover.

3. Set a plate and heavy object on top of plate, wait 2 days and check according to the way you like them (half or real done).

4. When desired way is complete, refrigerate them to stop then from turning too sour. Can double recipe for more pickles and a large crock.

5. Can NOT use brine again.
