Cinnamon Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 cups whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Step 1

Bring the cream to a boil in a large saucepan over high heat. Reduce it by half, lower the heat to simmer and add the sugar and cinnamon. Stir the sauce until the sugar has dissolved, then simmer it 5 minutes more without stirring. Remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla.

Serve it warm over pound cake or chilled over fruit.

Makes 2 cups.
