Ingredients

  • For cake:

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

  • 2eggs

  • 1 large can fruit cocktail, undrained

  • 2 cups flour

  • 2 tsp soda

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • For icing:

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1 stick butter

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk

Directions

For cake: Cream sugar and eggs. Add fruit cocktail and then dry ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes until tooth pick comes out clean. For icing: Boil all ingredients until thick. Pour over cake while both are hot.
