Spaghetti Sauce and Meatballs

A favourite given to me by Cindy - she always had the best spaghetti and meat balls when we went camping!

Ingredients

  • Meatballs:
  • Equal parts ground veal, pork and beef (2 packages)
  • 2 eggs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic powder
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup water
  • Italian seasoning
  • Sauce:
  • 2 cans Primo or Unico plain spaghetti sauce
  • 1 large can crushed or diced tomatoes
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Meatballs:

Mix all ingredients by hand really well. Form into balls - squish desired amount firmly, then gently shape into ball. Place on cookie sheet and cook at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Sauce:

Mix all ingredients. Add meatballs and simmer 2 to 3 hours.
