Fruit "Soup"

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 cups assorted fresh fruit, such as cantaloupe melon balls, halved red seedless grapes, halved or quartered strawberries, cubed pineapple, and/or orange sections.
  • 4 butter wafer cookies
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream

Preparation

Step 1


1. In a medium saucepan combine water and sugar; bring to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat.

2. Place fruit in a large bowl. Pour syrup over fruit. To serve, scoop 1 cup of the fruit and liquid into each serving dish. Top with a cookie and a scoop of ice cream.
