Homemade Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp/cloves of crushed garlic
- 1 medium white onion, chopped
- 1 medium red onion, chopped
- 1 8-oz package of sliced criminy mushrooms
- 1 8-oz package of portabello mushrooms, chopped
- butter to sautée
- 1 28oz can or equivalent of crushed or diced tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp of Splenda or equivalent
- 1/4 cup of white wine
- 1 Tbsp oregano
- 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp thyme

Step 1
1. In a large skiller, sautée together onion, garlic, and mushrooms in butter, until mushrooms are softened and tender.
2. Reduce heat to simmer and add tomatoes, wine, and sweetener, and remaining spices, stirring until mixed thoroughly. Cover.
3. Simmer on low heat for one hour. Serve over cooked pasta or store.
