Green Pepper Round Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut in 1/2 in. strips
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 tbs. oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1 15 oz. can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 large green peppers, seeded and cut in strips
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tbs. steak sauce
  • 3 cups cooked rice

Preparation

Step 1

Season meat with salt and pepper. Brown meat in hot oil. Lightly saute onions and green peppers, add to meat; add stewed tomatoes, oregano and steak sauce and cook slowly on top of range for 1 hour, or until meat is tender. Serve on a bed of rice.
