Hard Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1/2 vanilla or almond extract
  • red or green food coloring

Preparation

Step 1

With spoon or electric beater, beat butter with sugar until fluffy and creamy. Beat in extract. Add a few drops of food coloring if desired. Pile in pretty dish, Or make into balls and roll in grated orange rind. Refrigerate until firm.
