Ingredients

  • 1 Large head of cabbage
  • 1-1½ lb of lean ground beef
  • 3 14 oz cans of Delmonte tomato sauce
  • 1 box of Ginger snaps
  • ½ cup of Minute rice
  • Pepper
  • Sour salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Boil head of cabbage, separate leaves, and place on paper towls.

Prepare chop meat with eggs, salt & pepper. Add boiled rice and mix.

At same time, prepare sauce: Put a layer of Ginger snaps on the bottom of a large pot. Add 3 cans of tomato sauce to the pot. Add some water, salt, pepper and sugar. Bring to boil and taste. Keep adding Gniger snaps and sugar till you get the right sweet and sour taste.

Fill cabbage with meat mixture and wrap cabbage leaf and place in pot with sauce. Cook for at least an hour.
