Ingredients
- 16 oz. can Saurekraut
- Medium Yellow Onion - Sliced thin
- 2-3 Tablespoons Bacon Grease
- Salt and Peper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
1. Drain and rinse saurekraut several times under cold water
2. Boil saurekraut for 15 minutes, drain
3. Heat grease until melted in frying pan
4. Saute onions until brown
5. Add drained saurekraut and fry until all saurekraut until browned and cooked thoroughly.
6. Salt and pepper to taste.
OK to make ahead, store in glass microwave dish. Reheat before serving.
