MOUNDS CAKE

Ingredients

  • Coconut filling:
  • 1 chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • 34 large marshmallows
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 14 oz. package coconut
  • Frosting:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons oleo
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 12 package chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Blend cake mix, mayonnaise, water and eggs for 2 minutes. Put in 11 x 15 pan and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Start 5 minutes before doing coconut filling.

Put marshmallows, milk sugar and coconut in saucepan. Stir until marshmallows are melted. Spread over hot cake. In saucepan combine sugar, oleo, milk. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir until smooth. Pour over coconut. It is best to bake this in the morning so it can set up well.
