Ingredients

  • 24 small fresh sage leaves
  • 24 large dried apricots
  • 8 slices bacon, cut crosswise into thirds
  • toothpicks, for serving
  • * You can do this without sage
  • Alternative--susan's version
  • 24 plump dried apricots
  • 12 slices smoked bacon, cut in half crosswise to make 24 slices

Step 1

1.Heat oven to 375º F. Place a sage leaf on each apricot, wrap with a piece of bacon, and place seam-side down on a baking sheet.

2.Bake until the bacon is beginning to crisp, 6 to 8 minutes per side.

Alternative: Susan's version

Preheat oven to 425. set a rack in a sheet pan (i dont know what that means, but we just lined it up on tin foil)
wrap bacon around each apricot and place on baking sheet seam side down
bake until bacon is cooked and crispy, about 15 minutes
