Fettucini Alfredo - Mother

Ingredients

  • 8 – 10 ozs fettuccine
  • ¼ lb sweet butter chopped
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 egg yolk

Preparation

Step 1

Cook fettuccine in large pot of boiling water according to package directions. Drain and rinse with hot water and return to kettle. Place over very low heat and immediately add the one cube butter and parmesan cheese and toss. Gently and quickly add the heavy cream beaten slightly with the two egg yolks. Turn all very gently over low heat and serve on a warm platter.
