Fudge: Layered Fudge Mints

  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk, divided
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup white confectioners baking chips
  • 1 Tbls. peppermint extract
  • 4-5 drops green food coloring

Preparation

Step 1

Melt chocolate chips with 1 cup of the sweetened condensed milk. Add vanilla. Place 1/2 chocolate mixture in a 8×8 or 9×9 square pan covered with wax paper. Chill for 10 minutes or until firm.

Melt white chips with rest of milk. Add peppermint extract and food coloring. Beat until smooth. Spread over chocolate layer. Chill 10 minutes or until firm.

Spread remaining chocolate over peppermint layer. Chill 2 hours. Cut into squares.
