Ingredients

  • 2 T onion (chopped)
  • 3 T butter
  • 3 T flour
  • 1-1/2 t salt
  • 3 C milk
  • 3 C chicken broth
  • 1 pkg. chopped broccoli
  • 2 C carrots (sliced)

Preparation

Step 1

In large saucepan saute onion in butter until tender. With a whisk, stir in flour, salt and milk. Gradually add broth stirring constantly. Bring to a boil. Add broccoli and carrots. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, 25 minutes, or until carrots are tender. Salt and pepper to taste.
