  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 T. water
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1c. water
  • 1 tsp. almond extrct
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3 eggs

Step 1

Cut butter into flour, sprinkle with water and mix. Divide dough in half and form into 2 balls. Pat with hands to form 2 long strips (12x3 inches). Place 3 inches apart on cookie sheet. Put butter and water into saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Add almond extract, remove from heat and add flour. When thick add eggs one at a time. Divide in 1/2 and spread on top of the first mixture.

Bake 60 minutes(+/-10) at 350. Cool and frost with butter icing.
