Ingredients
- 1 cup Bisquick Heart Smart® mix
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped toasted almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup cold butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
- 5 cups frozen strawberries or mixed berries
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Preparation
Step 1
1 Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish with shortening or cooking spray.
2 In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, oats, brown sugar, almonds, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut in butter, using pastry blender (or pulling 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions), until mixture is crumbly and begins to hold together.
3 In large bowl, mix granulated sugar and flour. Add berries and lemon juice; toss until coated. Spoon berry mixture into baking dish. Sprinkle oat mixture evenly over berry mixture.
4 Bake 50 minutes or until filling is bubbly and topping is golden. Serve warm.
