Blueberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 Oronoque regular Pie Shell & Top Crust
  • 4 C Fresh or Frozen Blueberries
  • 3 Tbl Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 Tbl Butter or Margarine
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon Peel
  • Dash Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 425

Mix together sugar, flour, lemon peel, nutmeg and salt. Combine with the blueberries. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Dot with butter or margarine. Adjust top crust over the blueberries. Wet and seal edges well.

Slit top crust in a few places.

Place on preheated cookie sheet.

Bake at 450 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 375 and bake until blueberries bubble and crust is brown (about 30-40 minutes).

*If using crumb topping, use 3/4 C sugar and omit butter/margarine
