Double Delights (Santa cookies)

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 3/4 cup butter
• 2 T. water
• 12 oz. chocolate chips
• 2 eggs
• 3 cups sifted flour
• 1 1/4 t. baking soda
• 1 t. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar and butter in sauce pan; place over moderate heat stirring constantly until butter is melted. Remove from heat and stir in water. Add chocolate morsels and stir until melted. Beat in eggs. Sift together remaining ingredients and gradually add to mixture, stirring after each addition.

Drop by heaping tsp. onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven 8-10 minutes. Cool. Sandwich pair of cookies together with mint filling.
