Ground beef - Noodle Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. noodles
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 tbsp. butter ( I don't use)
  • 2 - 8-oz. cans tomato sause
  • 1/2 lb. cottage cheese
  • 1 8-oz. pkg. soft cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup snipped scallions
  • 1 tbsp. minced green pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Cook and drain noodles. Saute ground beef in 1 tablespoon butter. Add tomato sauce: set aside. Mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, scallions and green pepper. Spread half of the noodles in 2 1/2 or 3- quart casserole. Cover with cheese mixture. Spread remaining noodles over cheese. Add remaining melted butter. Spread meat misture on top. Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Yield: 6 servings
