Ingredients
- 2 # lean beef, cut into strips
- 1 C chopped onions
- 1 C mushrooms
- 1/2 C tomato juice
- 1/2 C sherry
- 1 pint water or stock
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Flour
- Butter
Preparation
Step 1
Dip strips of beef in flour. Fry in butter for 5 minutes. Remove and place in baking dish. Fry onions in the same butter until slightly cooked). Pour them over the meat, adding mushrooms, tomato juice, sherry and stock.
Bake in 375°F oven for about an hour. Serve over rice or cooked noodles.
